As per data reported by Association of Mutual Fund in India (AMFI) for Oct 2019, net inflow in equity-oriented schemes (both open-ended and close-ended) declined 7.31% to Rs. 6,015 crore. That compares with Rs. 6,489 crore in Sep 2019. Though the overall market was high over optimism of better-than-expected corporate earnings, it did not show in the equity inflow. Inflows in multicap, largecap and midcap funds were healthy. However, inflows in smallcap funds were subdued, while value and contra funds experienced net outflow.
