Individual investors held Rs.12.90 lakh crore in mutual funds in Mar 2020: AMFI

According to data from AMFI, Individual investors held Rs.12.90 lakh crore in mutual funds as of Mar 2020, a decrease of 4.71% over Mar 2019. Investments of individual investors in equity schemes decreased by 8% over Mar 2019. Individual assets are primarily driven by distributors. 60% of the assets of Individual investors are from T30 cities, brought in by distributors. Direct investments amount to 19% of individual assets, bifurcated into 3% from B30 and 16% from T30 cities.
