AMFI reports 5% rise in asset base for Jan 2020

Association of Mutual Fund in India (AMFI) reported data for Jan 2020 with the asset under management (AUM) of the mutual fund industry improving 5.0% from Rs. 26.54 lakh crore in Dec 2019 to Rs. 27.86 lakh crore in the first month of the current calendar year. The industry registered net inflow of Rs. 1.2 lakh crore during the month, which was majorly due to healthy inflow in liquid and overnight funds under debt-oriented schemes. Liquid and overnight funds accounted for consolidated inflow of Rs. 0.82 lakh crore in the month.
