MF exposure to bank stocks at record high of Rs 85000 crore in July

Data from the Securities and Exchange Board of India showed that overall deployment of equity funds in banking stocks stood at Rs. 85329 crore in July compared to Rs. 78582 crore in the previous month. In the same period of the previous year equity fund managers deployment in banking stocks stood at Rs. 55086 crore. IT was the second-most preferred sector with fund managers after Banks with an exposure of Rs. 38404 crore, followed by Pharma with an exposure of Rs. 31246 crore. Auto sector had an exposure of Rs. 28761 crore and Finance had an exposure of Rs. 24953 crore.
